拉多利哥和水源土地捍衛及環境保護運動（MODATIMA）的夥伴們致力保護智利的水資源。但他們的勇氣卻換來暴力威脅與牢獄之災。拉多利哥住在智利的佩托爾卡（Petorca）省，2012年他開始申訴該地區的政客和企業非法抽水。

 

結果Rodrigo因此被提起4項刑事訴訟。在其中一件訴訟中，他最後被判處61天有期徒刑並得以緩刑，但條件是根據智利政策，拉多利哥必須在一年內每月向法官報到。2015年3月，不明人士從背後襲擊拉多利哥。近年來他和其他社區領導者陸續接到恐嚇電話，並在街上遭人威脅。呼籲智利政府
